Got a bit impatient and upgraded them to 5-gallon pots a little early.
Roots are a bit overloaded with soil, but it’s no biggie—they are using up the nutrients and are pushing past it! I had to do a mild flush. To much nutrients and the soil for those small clones. Reset the microbiology.
My typical transplant schedule is 4-inch cell → 1-gallon → 3-gallon → 5-gallon. On this run, I skipped the intermediate steps and went straight from the cells into 5-gallon pots. When doing this, I find that cutting back on the dry amendments prevents the unused soil from getting too hot while the root zone catches up. but i did none of that. Hahaha ![]()
