Continuing the discussion from Late Season OutDoor Grow:
Here are my week 3 pics. The kids are doing amazing… despite the cooler weather, shorter growing days and the 2.6in. of rain dumped on them this past Tues-Wed. as we continue some late season monsoon weather up here in Northern Arizona.
While I have fertilizer from my indoor days, I am hoping to go as all-natural as possible. Their current soil is a mix of home-made compost, soil from my previous home in Phoenix, AZ, and a mix of this very sandy mountain soil which I took near one of the cedar trees on my property. On that, it always amazes me how plants can thrive in a mountain, desert setting when the soil appears to be far from nutrient rich.
We are currently down to 11hrs 45min. of sun, sunrise to sunset. So in the next couple of weeks, I will be watching for pre-flowering as they get older. I am curious to see if they will respond like an “auto-flower” and start the flowering process, or at what point will they decide to flower. I will update this diary next week.
James seedsman, thanks again for moving this over here. Because I am trying to add, or create a new “chapter” in my diary, if I had done this incorrectly, please let me know, and how to set them up as “chapters” moving forward. Thanks again for your help with this!!![]()
