Had a pretty good one last year.
Ya man i tried hydro but just couldnt get the hang of it. Need to try it again tho, u recommend it over soil?

Older and newer in season around 3/23/2026 and I love this stuff too. It’s where I’ve cut my teeth some four decades ago!

Reason. Size, a 5 gallon dwc is equivalent to 15 gallon dirt.
Ease, easier to manage the pot, if I screw it up, just drain and refill.
I don’t have to worry about over or under watering.and, with the auto refill thing I’m designing, I’ll be able to actually leave the house for a couple days

It does take a minute to get the hang of it, it took me almost 2 years. But I was on my own too.
I’ve got it figured out now. Hence, I have the confidence now to rebuild it, and move forward with that system.

I love the veggies pictures. We decided to convert the garden into a blue berry patch planted some berries raspberries and boysenberry. My back can’t do it anymore. I love it, but it’s not worth it to me. I was always pulling weeds, couldn’t stand to have 1 little tiny weed growing in my garden. Lol. Thanks for sharing!

Funny you should say all that cause commented to wife, the beds could always be converted to blueberries & flowers (bulbs, tubers or etc.) when we get older. Here’s wildflowers.

It’s a lot of work, I can get down, but getting back up? Not so much

I’m sorry, I have the same condition. But honestly don’t think I’d ever be here doing this if not because of it. Probably definitely not. But for you, I’m hoping for lessening of symptoms. I feel ya and hurting for you thinking about you.

Thanks brother, it sucks getting old, the stuff I used to love doing, I just can’t do anymore, all I really got left is my weed. So, I pour myself in to that now.
I never intended to be the best, or biggest, most of the time I just give it away to friends, just left 3 elbows with my buddy troy, I just do it because it’s the only thing left I can do, that and fish… I don’t even like fish,
