I Have two plant , one photoperiod what’s 30 days old and my auto what’s 75 days old , The auto may not look like it that old but I messed up around the start so it took abit longer , The shorter plant is the photoperiod and is cheese x Runtz and auto is strawberry pie
Looks like you’re off to a good start
I’ve never had an auto actually done when it says it should be, lol, they funny little plants, I prefer the photos, I think it produces better quality, and only seems to take about 30 days longer than an auto.. but that’s me.

I grew a dwarf auto once that was interesting.
SuP!
So the auto - if you attempted training on this, this is most likely the reason it stunted and is this size
If you didnt heavily train it or defoliate - which i highly recommend against doing on a plant of early age 5 weeks or less, with autos you have a limited window to train because of how they react, its possible it was another stress - transplanting etc (most likely 98% certain the stress’s mainly come from defoliation too early)
Autos dont like to be transplanted and should be placed in their final pot when germinated - Autoflowers can start too flower early from "transplant shock, they also will “stunt” from stress especially in flower (you can tell an auto is about to go into flower when “pistils” show - the hairs)
Unlike photoperiods, autos also work on a timer - meaning any stress, is going to result in a lack luster yield. This is why i suggest if anyone want to try working with a plant, photoperiods are better because even if you stunt the plant from trying to learn, the plant in most cases can recover

In terms of health, i would recommend holding off on defoliating leaves off of the plants until they are atleast around 5/6 weeks old (photoperiod specifically)
Essentially those big fan leaves you might think are covering nodes/branches are actually providing those branches with more energy being there, than not - they are like the plants solar panels!
Other than that the plants look healthy in terms of nutrition but seem lacking in strength You want to get some air movement in that tent - if you dont have constant extraction with air exchange through the tent and air movement inside the tent with a clip on fan the plants wont respond well and will be weak![]()

Training with autos -
Unlike photoperiod genetics, a lot of autoflowers do not like to be defoliated or trained but there is a limited window you can do training on them
When a Autoflower shows its pistils, this is when it will initiate flowering, you dont want to train after this or defoliate
Before this happens, you can train the plant in multiple ways and depending on the genetics the plant will react differently
So basically, there is a limited time of when you want to defoliate and train before flower BUT its very important to do this training when the plant has a large enough root mass too take the stress without stunting
This means, around week 3/4 with an Autoflower you can scrog/top/supercrop/budclip a plant in a 1/2 week window - 3-5 weeks
If using a “tie down” or scrog and this is left on during flowering, this most likely WILL cause stunting, so take any tension off of branches before flowering
Man, that’s a ton of great sheet right there
, I concur ![]()
