I used to boil my water because of the chloramine. It doesn’t just evaporate at room temp like chlorine does. Now I just use my water filter that I use for my drinking water. I don’t run synthetics or bottles except with my babies. But the filtered water is a huge improvement. People say you can’t use 0ppm water but it’s been working better for me than anything else for organics and bottles
You can use 0 ppm but, there’s nothing in it. It can leach chemicals from plastics and etch metal. We use rain water and have ppm of 3. We add Elenors VF 11. It’s has small amounts of trace minerals so you can add Cal Mag. It will help to stabilize your water. We use Oily can cal mag. It’s nitrogen free and has some humic acid and sulfur. For babies we also use bottled water. Walmarts brand. Hope this helps you out. Take Care. Btw your plants are so pretty. I want to take some pictures of this Super Skunk we kept her all natural. She’s really got a great structure. I normally top and bend the life out of my plants but she’s special. I try to share a picture with you. @AestheticgenetiX222
That potting soil. I don’t like to use it. The fertilizer in it, you don’t know how much or when it’s going to break down.
Coco Loco usually has food for about 30 days per plant, then grower feeding has to commence.
I would add some water. She looks high in nutrients within the leaf
Yeah, that’s kinda what I’m saying. People buy that type of soil and they ammended it with more. That’s when you start seeing problems
You know, that always a good start. Just some ph water. Gets things back in check.
I add a lot of perlite.
Yep we do to. We eye it. Coco coir and perlite mix buffered with cal mag
Yeah that’s what it said I’m taking that’s really bad lol
Thank you so much
this is my fist grow so I’m happy with how she turned out
Your first time is the best time to learn! You can’t expect it to be perfect. Heck, we’ve been growing for a while now and we had some plants accidentally get pollented. Stuff happens, it’s life. You learn from as you go.
Embrace it. It’s life!
That’s pretty high yeah. Even if you had full on perfect temps & Co2 enrichment, 4.2 EC / 2100 PPM is really high.
Happy Frog and OB by themselves wouldn’t give those numbers. What’s your nutrient strength (PPM) going in?
Personally id back down the ph n see what she does for a min.
Right on man
yeah I’m not worried about my 0ppm water. It’s been great. Use it for the humidifier and the plants and it’s the water I drink. On other platforms, people were losing it about that but it’s been better than anything else I have used. I would use rain water but I don’t have the ability to catch and store enough for it to be practical
It’s great, you literally have a blank slate to work with. I think the reason people freak out is long time storage. Overtime it can leach chemicals from your resivour. But, we go through water to fast. We store our water in 3000 gallon rain barrels. We collect from our roof. We collect enough to last us all summer and until fall comes. In Washington we get plenty of rain.
I wish I was able to collect but carrying 5gallon buckets up stairs ain’t doable…no thanks
Make sure your water filter isn’t also a softener. They can replace the Calcium and Magnesium that you want in the water with Sodium that you really don’t want.
Also you can’t boil off Chloramine either, you have to neutralise it with an acid, Humic or Ascorbic acid works. But it’s such a small amount in the water a pinch of soil in the res would likely use it up.
It would be 3ec on a 700 scale, but still high. This is why I don’t like PPM.
