So this is a fast growing photo strain which I recently started with. The other plants in the tent are all perfect, growing fast like they should except this one. Any ideas? Will she survive?
started on shogun start nutes and planted in biobizz light soil.
Now on terra aquatica tripart and some trace nutes.
Yeah, when plants are looking sad, the first thing you should try is just some ph water. Don’t rush to give a bunch of NPK. Wait a couple days and reassess.
We’ve had this happen before, when all the rest of your plants are growing great but 1. Maybe it’s not what you’re doing but the plant? But, you can try this it’s not a NPK. Kelp extract and some microbes cal mag mixed in a gallon of ph water. Kelp will definitely raise your ph so, adjust it. This just helps the plant when it’s stressed. It will also help with rootz. Microbes help the soil. Eleanor VF 11 is always a good foliar spay. Very mild for sick or stressed plants. Good luck. Remember that nothing is . You can do everything right and some plants will just fail. Could be genetics, could be it’s to finiky and not a good candidate for your garden?
Wanted to start on magnesium and kelp a little later but will try in the next feed. Plant is wet from top to bottom right now as I watered with clean high ph water yesterday to try rinse the soils through.
And starting a new one will be an issue as it’s 3 week behind on a 9 week grow.
Hahahaha. Will post pics of her closeup later today. Not looking better but continuing to grow albeit way slower and smaller. Not fed any kept or mag yet as she has been too wet after the high ph flush. So either tonight or tomorrow I’ll feed those.
No more supplementary light but she does have one of the co2 outlets nearby.
The new growth coming in does look much better than the previous set of leaves. I would do the next feed at 7 too with the kelp, I don’t think Mag would help.
Kelp and microbes, help with stressed plants. Also letting a dry back. Who knew watering was such a issue. I’m wondering if most people are using pre mix like FF . We didn’t run into any problems with plants not wicking from vivosun or spider wicking pots. We use coco coir and perlite mix. Heavy on perlite. I wonder if some our using to heavy of a mix on them. Or peat mix where they become hydrophobic because they let it dry out completely. IDK. It’s interesting to see how many different techniques they’re and what works and what was more of a selling gimmick.
