Ethos, Perfect Tree, Dutch Passion and Barney's

Hi guys, back again. Picture dump to start. :seedling:

I was very impressed with Ethos last run so will be doing a bunch more this time, and a couple of grow alongs with a few friends.

I dropped the seeds in the new Cannakan just over a week ago, I like it a lot. Very easy and fast germination, also much nicer and more compact to pop lots of different stuff at the same time I would use a shot glass for each before. Never had much problems with germinating fresh seeds, but this feels like a much more refined and pleasant process. Looking forward to trying to pop some of my older stuff in it too that I thought may not still be viable.

The lineup this run;

Ethos Johnny Dang x 4, I dropped all 5 but one was a bit deformed and wasn’t viable
Ethos Lemon Berry Candy OG R2 x 5?, also maybe 4 as one of them is very runty
Perfect Tree Cherry Hills x 3
Barney’s Farm Super Boof x 3, popped an extra to replace the failed JD
Dutch Passion Critical Orange Punch x 1, ended up being twins from one seed.

Might do the runty twin instead of the runty LBC if it gets to a decent size, I planted it in the same pot. Probably ditch both at this rate though.
Going back to coco for this run :coconut:. Recently diagnosed with MS and lugging around big soil pots is no longer possible at least for now. I’ll go over my feed in the next post or edit this. Looking forward to it, been doing living soil for a few years and had an itch to go back anyway. Thanks for checking in!

You’ve made a good choice. Beyond the selection itself, sometimes you also need to take a step back in order to be able to move further forward :green_heart:

Glad to see you growing again  :+1: looking forward to seeing the updates

Sorry to hear about the Doctor report, perhaps you should explore this areoponic set up?, it’s been working pretty well so far :+1:

Nice selection and nice slideshow I’m going to have to figure out how to do that when I’m growing again. Going to have to try Ethos.:waving_hand::+1::hugs: Also I get it lifting gets rough on the body with nerve issues just anything really. Hope you get it figured out hon.

Thanks guys, great to be back and growing.
Always miss it when I take a break. Hopefully I don’t mess things up  been a while since I did straight coco.

give that coco a rince with calmag before you start, it prevents all that yellowing you see with the young starts, heal quickly, you gonna love coco once you get used to it

Coming along slowly. The runty COP twin is starting to go now so may flower her if it keeps up until they get potted up. The LBC in the same pot still doing very little, don’t have much hopes for it.

Not before potting, I watered them with 0.5ml/L Calmag, 3ml/L Shogun Start and a few drops of Superthrive when seeds were planted. The bottle of Start is 3 years old though and they didn’t like it much so switched straight to 2ml/L House & Garden Coco A+B and 1ml/L Diamond Nectar fulvic just because I have it.

I have calmag and diamond nectar, will try that on next babies! been afraid to use superthrife its soo powerful, also want to try the straight up coco like in the foto, seedlings havent been right so this might help, thx!

I used to add perlite, just means you have to water more frequently really. Good if you want more aggressive dryback with drippers but not so good if you are hand watering.
The quality of coco does matter a lot for seedlings, the cheaper stuff you need to wash and buffer a fair bit to get the sodium out and calcium in like you said.

They are under a Mars FC-E 3000, 300w in the 2x2, only at 35% currently so about 100w.
I use the Mars FC-E 1000w in the 5x5 tent for flower.

Had storms last night and power been switched off today as they made repairs. Got them out to enjoy what little sun we have
Some of them still looking a little unhappy, will bump feed up to 2.5ml/L later see if they green up fully. :crossed_fingers:
