Help with my plant

This poor plant has been uprooted twice due to tip overs and had the lights fall on her the day after being topped. Just wondering if I should eliminate the two large fan leaves?

Looks pretty good despite the trauma. I don’t think that I am qualified to advise on early leaf removal…

Your plant looks amazing for all thats it been through.

In my personal opinion I would not eliminate the big leaves just yet. However most of the time I don’t trim them.

@SweetBuds , @Steven , @MrNice , @Marc and @og_growgirl_sfv What are your thoughts on trimming the big leaves now?

I don’t see any good reason to do that. They are not lying in the dirt, I presume they don’t carry any pathogens, so personally I’d leave them because they help to make the plant thrive. :pink_heart:

No need to, but the fan leaves do drive the node growing from them. So I do like to remove top fan leaves when the tops have developed to slow their growth and encourage lateral branching.
Are looking nice and healthy considering!

You can see what I mean here

Hi everyone. I would leave them on for a few more days

Thank you. First grow and don’t want to waste a great seed. Lol

Looks fine! Good really considering a light fell on her, consider it LST ,builds strength! Agree with @MrNice

I concur with the majority. I only trim an auto if I have to. Most don’t need it until later in flowering

Hey @Poppy

Just checking in to see how the plants are doing?

She is doing pretty good as far as she looks to me. I believe she is in like week five of vegetation. I am hooked on this new experience. Watching and learning about how to and when to has become a new hobby. Thanks for your help and concern.

The main thing is that you’re having fun:grin:

Hey Poppy glad you are having fun!

The stunt from stress would have came from the multiple re-pots

What i suggest is getting hold of some “mycorrhizal fungi” this can help transplant stress, it will almost eliminate it!

If the plant is photoperiod (which im certain it is from its response) it will be fine but need some more time in vegetative stage to bump back, which it seems to have done by now

Fan leaves, are the plants main source of photosynthesis, early in the plants life the more fan leaves the better, even if they are covering nodes/branches/flower sites, most times they are better off staying there when the plant is young and not yet flowering

Looks to have recovered well!

:victory_hand::green_heart:

Yeah buddy :grinning_cat:, looking good :+1:
We hardly ever trim off leaves until around mid flower :bouquet::backhand_index_pointing_up: like @MADMAN-Kryptic said, those big ol leaves are the power plants of the plants.

Poppy she’s looking very nice now!! Looks like she came back well!! When u going to flip the lites? Do u have the room to let her get taller?
