How long do you cure your bud

Im just wondering how yall cure your bub. How bud are harvesting at time When do you trim your bud wet or dry by hand or bowl How long. Bags or jars. Do you burp it. Im still new to this. I harvesting 1-2 lds i wet trim then hang it up to dry and touch up trim when dry I use jars and burp ever day if its to wet i lay it out for a little bit after about 2 week in jars cuz i run out of jars i vacuum seal it. Im ordering some grove bags for the next run coming up in 2 weeks. Ish. Im try them out

I do basically the same thing.
After I first cut the plant, I hang it to dry. I leave it alone for a day or two. Then, I begin to remove the “big chunks”, cutting about 90% of the lettuce off.
Finish drying for another 2 to 3 days, then start removing a branch at a time, finishing up the trim, and into the jars.
Be sure not to “stuff” the jar.
About 2/3rd full. Need room for air.
I start burb them, first about three times a day for the first few days, tapering that off over the next 2 weeks.
Then, I vacuum seal mine as well. I always weigh them at 32 before sealing. Makes it easier to keep track of stock
Why 32? So when I come back to it, I know I can pull some out, test it. And make sure it’s good, and still have an even Oscar left.

I do mine all by hand. One bud at a time…gloves are recommended

Here’s my old school non-cure bag method:

Cut down plant(s), remove all fan leaves & hang dry until you can bend branches and have them audibly snap. We mostly promote a 60/60 drying environment these days. 60 degrees, 60% humidity.

Now do a full trim and place into containers (jars, tubs, etc.) with hygrometers.

First week, burp 2-3 times daily, opening the container for a length of time to bring RH down to approximately 50%, then close the container.

Week 2, burp once daily.

Week 3, keep an eye on RH, only burp if RH exceeds 70%.

When RH tops out at 58-62% w/o burping, I’m done.

I hope this helps!

This tutorial seems good:

The Art of Drying and Curing Cannabis - Marijuana Venture

Those terp packs work very well from what I’ve seen, I’ve never used one tho..$$

They do, but I only use them when the cure is done, or if I over-dry to begin with.

I old… school :school:
Bread and orange peel, lol

Way old school! Stale bread to dry, orange peels to add moisture. I love it!

I was going to give the paper bag / garbage bag method, but that is likely too much for new growers today to wrap their heads around, lol.

I still use the paper sack:shushing_face::shushing_face:
Didn’t want to mention it either, lol..
If while trimming, we find some that maybe needs a little more drying, into the paper sack they go.

Shhhh your not supposed to tell our old school ways peeps be thinking we ain’t right…Oh wait! You ain’t right! Bahahaha:wink::hugs:

I used part of a tortilla :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Sweating method! Most people wont understand it im guessing :upside_down_face:

I chop hang plant whole for slower dry @70-75/60 until small branches snap NOT bend then buck em and bag atleast 2-3 weeks before I test it

There definitely an art to a good cure.i tell my people i can have you some dry bud to smoke in a week but if u want a good cure itll be a month…they usually want it asap . But i always trim green unless ther is just so much my nerves cant handle it. Then ill trim after it dries.

I use to us brown paperbags. And old shose box.

I test it as I’m trimming, all that small trim stuff I keep and smoke while I’m trimming it..
If it ain’t right, I don’t need to waste any time trimming the rest, into the masher!!

Shoebox weed was a thing!
