i agree, if you hand trim you can get too the petiole of the leaf and snip it straight off! that leaf petiole is basically the leaf stalk which, if not snipped off will contribute to a harsher smoke for sure. a lot of the stuff ive grown recently has been TERRIBLE to trim, super leafy stuff with F2’s etc :') aAAAA “trimjail”
You should make topic about the grove bags and put in new growers hub. That’s good stuffs ![]()
Il have to do that for sure!
Hope work is easy! catch ya in a bit!

I use these exact bags lol i think they work really good
Pollenated the Blueberry Lime Kush ad F2 today along with the Supa Slick Shore! ![]()

I chose too be more diligent with the pollenation this time, prefering to have more seeds than flower for one of my first attempts at making a genetic il eventually stabalise, so went full contact with the flowers, let them sit for a while under room lighting and transfered back into the 3x3
When i harvest for flower, depending on how mature the seeds look, i might possibly transfer the plant to my 18/6 light schedule 2x2ft tent - this is a trick i learned for maturing seeds out by “RastaJeff” a content creator on Youtube!
Idk, we had some males in a separate tent and separated room. We ended up with some girls being pollenated. It’s okay we wanted seeds but, crazy how pollen can travel.
Pollen will travel quite some distance!
As i stated its possible, almost most likely that the pollen from this male will travel ALL around my house and into my other tents
This is why ive decided to only keep this male around for current breeding projects, so i know if anything is seeded its from the male although there is a chance of running into a hermaphrodite with the females which could also cause pollination (hopefully il have none of these problems whilst the dude is around)
This means i will be increasing the filial generation with this “father” pollen, 'Back crossing" for the F2 and onwards
Currently, i have the Rated-R and Green Poison Fast flowering, but they are so late in flower im not worried about how much they WILL seed from the pollen, after i chop il be bleaching down my tents and cleaning my room out, possibly using a “Ozone generator” if i feel the need to (be very careful using these)
Other than that, if you want to make sure to get rid of pollen in a indoor grow after a pollenation, water, unstable temps and conditions will help kill the pollen
Outside i think it a couple miles its been known
Some flower shots just before lights on, the pistils on this pheno are super short, when i first flowered this pheno out i thought it was a herme/male when it first started forming flowers but its just the flowers structure, super unique!
This is one of the most interesting threads to read. I’m learning a lot about pollination!
This is all very interesting to me. However, truth be told, I’m lost lol I can’t seem to wrap my head around it. I’m definitely gonna read up cause breeding would be cool.
Agreed. I learning about all of it. Lol Great community
Ahh got you a smooth leafed plant huh…bout makes them look like small corn plants
It’s really fun to read isn’t it?
My knowledge of growing was 100% one way. Like I know how to do this and that’s what I’m going to do.
Got so many new ideas next time I get a legal opportunity! I miss living in Spain ![]()
Yup this forum is what helped us decide to change our setup and figure out what was wrong.
Excellent news for you and your grow ![]()
When it comes to pollenation -
If you are planning on using fresh pollen from a male, you might want to consider putting the male on 12/12 a few days, maybe even a week or 2 before the female to make sure it matures its pollen sacks as the females flowers just start too form
People have various windows they choose to pollenate but in my opinion its differs wildly depending on strain/cultivar
The PEAK window to pollenate is just as the buds start to swell, when the plant is exploding with pistil growth, normally this will happen after/during end of the “stretch” period, stretch normally starts when flowering is initiated and lasts 2-3 weeks or so
When pollenating you want to make sure its in dry conditions and you only want to pollenate for 1/2 days too make sure the age of the seeds isnt staggered, i also like to leave the plants under room light for 1/2 hours after pollenation, in hopes the calm conditions help
To pollenate the female - its as simple as allowing pollen from the male to come in contact with the “pistils” of the female these are those translucent/brown hair like growths coming from the flowers, if you pollenated at the right time and are in stable “good” conditions, you can tell which sites pollenated successfully as the pistils will become brown by the next day or so, due to the pollenation (cool fact, some strains have pink/red pistils, the famous panama red is an example)
Harvest time - with this Blueberry Lime Kush ad F2, im harvesting for flower and seeds, doing this i will be leaving a large amount of the flowers on for 2-4 extra weeks. By the time the “bracts” are yellowing + swollen i will be harvesting the seeds. Bracts are the tear drop looking structures that form the flowers - most times, youll see seeds revealing themselves, pushing out of the bracts by harvest time
These seeds will result in a new F1 (Ethiopian LR x Blueberry Lime Kush ad F2) - i have a name… but il wait for the crop
This is pretty much the first genetic in a series i want to make with this Ethiopian male - my main goals are too keep the mutated leaf profile down generations, and refine the terpes
The BLKadF2 is like a synthetic vape blueberry + Trainwreck incensy back with amazing stress and pain relief. Bringing in the Ethiopian to this, im not quite sure what il run into, hopefully something profound!
Glad to have you guys on the journey with me, thank you all for being so kind and passionate!

This mutated leaf type would be considered “SWAG” leaf mutation, its a mutation that was stabalized into genetics by “Kalyseeds”
Its a maple/trident/single “clawed”, smooth edged leaf type, one of the most interesting they have produced!
Il get some cool pictures of the leaves close up soon!
