MUTANT breeding run - Blueberry Lime Kush ad F2 + Supa Slick Shoređź‘˝

This “Terpyz - Blueberry Lime Kush ad F2” mom i selected and have had now for quite some time, ive chosen to clone, flower out and also create a NEW F1 with! (Along with a Supa Slick Shore, both genetics are originally “regular” non feminized)

The Blueberry Lime Kush ad i got to F2 after pollinating a female i selected with a brother plant, that had amazing structure, resistance and rapid growth, i then grew out 6 or so of these seeds, cloned them and flowered them out (2 culled) and chose to keep this phenotype as a “mother” shown above!

One of these clones of the BLKadF2 will be selfed and the other will most likely become the new mother

The BLKadF2’s are in solo cups both on the right side of the tray, easily identifiable by the mutated leaves, the Ethiopian male (also a clone) is back left in a solo, infront of it is a 00 - Bizcotti Z

Along with this mother, i have a Ethiopian land race male (the pollen donor!) currently flowering waiting to selectively pollenate the mother plant - to do this, i have segregated the male until it flowers in a tent alone with no air movement, when it flowers i will use cotton swabs to gather pollen and then pollenate selected nodes on the BLKadF2 and tag them, this will be done over 2/3 days. At harvest (for seeds!) this will be a new F1 (Ethiopian Land Race x Blueberry Lime Kush ad F2)

The Ethiopian Land Race Male, which is said to contain THCV, this plant even in vegetation stage, is highly sticky

As you can tell, its quite the plant to try maintain, it grows extremely fast, with large nodal spacing and strong branches, large leaves

Il then be harvesting the BLKadF2 for smoke, and leaving around 50-70% of the plant to develope its seeds entirely, for around 2-4 weeks after harvesting for flower

Flowering out the male, even segregated alone in its own tent - i am aware pollen will quite possibly travel to my 3x3 which is in the same room, but i am not too worried, i am also making sure this is the only male/pollen producer that will be around for a while and il be cleaning down my tents after harvesting very diligently, with a bleach based cleaning product to make sure to kill any possible viroids

the other 2 plants, which deserve a mention:

Gorilla Cookies Auto x BBQ Cough GPP (in the blue/green plastic, currently lacking a name, but when flowered out she’ll be getting one, this was a pollination from the Fast Buds - Gorilla Cookies auto which was “Selfed” with STS and used to pollinate a freaky Terpyz - BBQ Cough GPP! = a “FAST” MUTANT!) Really cant wait too see how this express’s, its also almost guaranteed to be “fem”

AND

Nirvana Aurora Auto in the “Airpot”

Super keen to see how this mutant grow turns out. Please keep sharing pictures - something I don’t know enough about yet!

Let me no how that Arora turns out please I have a personal interest in it :+1:

Ive grown this before and recently harvested a 1 gal!

The terpes are very very complex - umami gravy front with floral classic afgahni hash terpes that linger on your pallet, similar notes to a skunk/cheese, almost like a combination of a haze+cheese

What is a grove Bag?

Cant recall which cultivars roots but, transplanted a few of my solo cups in the 2x2ft veg tent

This will either be 00 - Bizcotti z or a clone of the Blueberry Lime Kush ad F2

Above that is the container for my nutrients ive had since a child -

Had this plastic container since i was a kid, it used to hold my various action figures, lego… Hotwheels, Tech decks
I always digged the lego “bionacles” as a kid, was never one for reading instructions either. I normally would attempt to put something together “on a whim” and see how correct the build was afterwards looking through instructions… Some what still do that with things, i feel it allows me too build my own understanding out of whatever it is… And if i feel i need to know every detail, il look closer

You dont know?!

Don’t mind me for being shocked, but Grove bags have to be THE best storage device for cannabis!

They are scientificly designed specifically for cannabis to retain terpenes, preserve the flower, prevent mold and even allow you too cure without burping!

Ever since i found out about Groves aka TerpLocs i have never gone back! They are super cheap, reusable and save space!

My only gripes with them:

There are various versions and sizes, some versions have zippers that are quite easy to break another has a double zip lock, that is super stuck down, the black Groves, normally have single zippers that are easy to break and its hard to find the double zips

Heres an amazing video by James Loud with Lance from TerpLoc about the tech!

They also dont “inhale” but do “exhale”, stuff ive kept in Groves for months has came out way better than anything else ive stored buds in!

Heres an example of the zippers differences -

How does it no to stop I mean how does it bleed out excess moisture without drying it out

im not entirely sure if theyve released how it also retains weight and dosnt leak out moisture excessively, probably a patented thing maybe? BUT i have placed “half dried” material in Grove bags and regularly do as i run a variety of cultivars/strains at the same times, most grows - making drying with not much space a bit of a hassle some times

Once i decided too trim a full plant i had drying for 5 days that was “half dry” and placed it directly into Grove bags, this stuff came out amazing by the end of the cure, but i did make sure to check on it daily, had no problems with mold!

I wouldnt put anything in them straight fresh though thats for sure

Why don’t you use your trimmer?

Yeah you can heat seal them!
there are a lot of rip offs of Grove bags going around too, but im not sure if that specifically is one - and i wouldnt be surprised if the rip offs do just a good job if they replicated them well

Honestly the fact they “Auto-burp” is the best thing, ive heard multiple people have the issue with the fact they are plastic and could possibly transfer the plasticy taste/smell over to the flowers but i personally have never had this problem, ever

My bowl trimmer?! because ive been mainly “phenohunting” for breeding the past few years, i havnt felt the need to pull it out, and cleaning it afterwards is a job in itself but mostly sometimes i enjoy sitting with branches and hand trimming, knowing the trim job is going to be as perfect as it can be

Sometimes we get so busy forget to burp that’s not good why were trying the grove bags thanks for the information hon. I appreciate you.

Ya Steve prefers to hand trim I find it tedious but he says smokes better.

More than welcome!
Yeah its easy too accidentally forget to burp, the science behind burping/curing aswell gets super in-depth so if i can automate it why not!

Always happy to help!:victory_hand: :green_heart:
