Ive grown the Green Poison before, but never the Rated R, has quite an interesting lineage and seems to be âsoft stemâ which is believed (and confirmed by many) to be a trait that contributes to a good smoking flower!
Green Poison is more classic âfloral fruityâ + âhashyâ terpes!
Both where on 18/6 for 5/6 weeks, the Green Poison topped once, and the Rated-R topped twice
Currently now on 12/12 with a 360w LED Bar light in 15 litre AutoPots + AirDomes, hooked up too a pump that turns on for 3/4 hours during lights on, at the same time my 600w UVb+IR side lighting turns on (Fecida brand)
I also add a small amount of home made compost to my mediums + mycorrhizal + diatamacious earth
Never-ending I researched air pots wicking and now gonna research the soft stem lol im thinking I want to try airports I like that you can use wicking and still leave for few days. We constantly go visit family and always worry bout the hydro itâs not auto set right now we water physically.
Theres studies that have been done on various plants and the results on yields are 30-140%, this is proven to be from the added air being pumped into the root zone!
These are placed at the bottom of the pots, the holes filled with medium to help âwickingâ and the air hose hangs out the top of the medium, and attaches to an air pump
When using autopots its best to have a âairyâ medium - 50% coco, 50% perlite
I learned about the soft stem itâs cool but I would be paranoid with mold during drying it said the plants retain more water also more fragile and my hands are clumsy, I want to try smoking it now though for sure. Says itâs a good smooth smoke. I havenât seen any soft stems all ours are woody.
Mimosa and Toad venom apparently carry the trait, but its finding a clone/pheno with the trait if you want to find and grow that âsoft stemmedâ pheno!
I dream of the day where Seedsman updates the site to be able to search for âsoft stemmedâ, âhashâ and ârosinâ, but at the same time some people will state in description whether the cultivar is âsoft stemmedâ if they care enough!
Oh huge fan of mimosa we grew one it didnât make it though something kept eating it the only plant out there they ate. We tried growing orange mimosa indoor in hydro thats when we started learning about nutrient lock.
i dig Do-si-dos too! Green poison is one of my faves! its that âfloral fruityâ classic âhashâ profile, that i really vibe with, with a super creative like high!
this Rated-R is Do-si-dos x Mimosa v6!
i love anything really sour citrus, miss the old NY Sour D, havnt had it in yeaRs
i havnt tried hydro, but just by experience with Autopots and hearing about hydro and how volatile it can be - Autopots is basically âhands offâ, i used to do manual dry backs with fabric pots with coco and the Autopots do that automatically!
They also save me on nutrients because im using about 3/4 of what id use if feeding by hand!
the results ive got from the Autopots have blown me away, the BBQ Cough GPP i transplanted in immature and on 12/12 lights where maybe 10cm tall and grew easily 30x by harvest and had the thickest stalks ive ever seen on such a short vegged plant, almost 2 thumbs thick!
ive heard some things about hydro and how its basically like rock wool (well in terms of input from you needed), theres some pretty drastic mess ups that can happen with either if not dialed in
