My beginning to cultivation

Your Starting Point

When did you first start cultivating at home?

Started back in 2005 in a college closet.

What was happening in your life at that time?

Late summer, started college with new roommates in a house.

What drew you to it?

After smoking for a few years and then moderating a cannabis forum for a couple years and decided to put some of the knowledge I had gained to use to try my hand at growing.

2. Your Experience

How does cultivation fit into your routine (morning, evening, weekends)?

I start my day and end my day in the garden. Plant therapy is real and keeps me grounded.

What does that time mean to you?

It allows me to stay present. Caring for plants is relaxing.

How does it make you feel?

At peace. Nothing quite like it.

3. What It’s Given You

Has growing changed anything about your mindset or habits?

Growing has increased my capacity for patience and has also helped me take better care of myself. Fire in, fire out!

Has it helped with stress, patience, creativity, or focus?

Gardening reduces stress, increases patience, and helps with focus. Paying attention to the plants, diagnosing what they are telling us, learning about the small tweaks the plants ask for.

What have you learned about yourself through cultivation?

I’ve learned that I enjoy constantly learning and this plant is a treasure trove of information.

4. Choosing Seeds

What matters to you when selecting seeds?

Quality genetics/breeders really matter. All cannabis can be great, but great genetics can be that little extra to find something fantastic.

Why did you choose Seedsman?

Word of mouth and dedication to quality.

How does having reliable genetics influence your experience?

Finding/growing what you like is the secret sauce.

5. Reflection

In what way has cultivation enriched your life?

Helping others gain access to quality medication has truly given my life direction. Growing is my reason to get out of bed.

What would you say to someone considering starting their own journey?

sheer excitement and try not to overload them with information!

6. Share some photos of you on your journey.

Cool :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:, my plants are my therapy, I enjoy growing them as much as smoking them. Love trying new strains.
