Buying online it says coming soon! Lol they closing tho right ? Lol

May 15. Guy says the owner wants to do something else. Also said to come on the 15th and they would likely be giving away what’s left.

I’m kind of feeling a tickle in my throat…hope I don’t get sick. {cough} {cough}

Is it difficult to maintain Ph in those rockwool cubes?

I personally don’t have an issue with it.

I hit them with 5.5 pH during the initial soak, and 5.7 in the reservoir, and it has always been stable. I never check pH in the res after initial mix; set it to 5.7 and let it run through.

Kinda simple once in veg; if slabs water once every day til runoff. If 4" blocks, you gonna water 4-6 times a day. Better to do flood trays with 4" blocks.

6’" blocks I don’t know yet, but I’m going to start by putting rooted seedlings in to 6" cubes soaked with 1/4 strength nutes at 5.8pH. I won’t water again until the blocks are dry, or the roots are out of the bottom, or the plants tell me they need more. From there I have to eye it and it all depends on the size of the plant. But I never increase nute strength more than 50% at a time. Ultimately, they’ll be on an automated drip system running as many times a day as they need.

Our experience with the rock wool was mixed. But it seemed like the bigger 4 and 6 inch were easier to manage than the small ones.
I think in hindsight, the small ones went through too many wet/dry phases. Was harder to maintain the perfect moisture. We had good luck with the larger ones and only switched to the plugs because they were cheaper.

Agreed.

I did a grow in 2023 only using 4" cubes and had the pump energized 8x a day.

Better to do 4" cubes in a flood tray, or stack them on slabs.
