Because it’s a thiol and not a terpene. 
Nevil bred the raunch out of Skunk. The only way to find it, is to find seeds or cuts that were preserved before Sam took it to Nevil and then to GW Pharm.
We know Nevil did not keep the originals, or at least that’s what Shantibaba believes.
Sam took the original to GW, so they have it.
There is also rumors that when GW moved the lab to UK, seeds got out there too.
Outside of that, I tend to follow these “heirloom” breeders who claim they’ve got the “Burnt Rubber Skunk”, but it will be a huge hunt to find it.

@og_growgirl_sfv understood, hope I run up on one by chance, because I will make a ton of crosses and self breeding to preserve the genetics. I miss that in your face smell, one that makes you look over your shoulder when you walk past someone with it on you ‘double wrapped for extra security,lol’ because it stank. Man, reminiscing…

Yeah… those were the days. Like I said, if I happen upon some of those old school genetics, I will be strictly working with those for a year or two to make as many backup seeds and crosses as I can.

this is just an update. I’m growing outdoors, even though I’m not the biggest fan of it — the bugs drive me crazy, ha‑ha. I manage them as best as I can. For reference, I’m 6’3, and I’m not using my phone for updates anymore since it won’t let me upload pictures. I’ll be adding a picture of the Watermelon Rush soon.
Let me tell you… Seedsman knocked it out of the park with that strain. Pure FIRE**.** I absolutely love it. It’s in the final two weeks before chop, and I cannot wait. The bud structure is gorgeous — seriously impressive! @marc_seedsman

Yes, the images are accepted. Until about a week ago, I had never encountered this error message
