Welcome aboard! I’m new here also and I am not sure how to post, but I will learn. I’m in my 6th year of growing, both indoor and outdoor. I have had some pretty good results, but still searching for that elusive special girl. So much fun to watch them grow and then reap the benefits of your labor of love.

Not that cold because I run my lights at night. I hit high PPFD and it can stress some cultivars to produce anthocyanins that usually don’t, I was surprised how dark that one went though.

Actual temps I aim for ~79f during lights on, I usually get 60-70f lights out.

Interesting. Dark hues are generally related to full strength nitrogen + cold night temps. They can also happen when your range is wide, like +/- 30 degrees F, but your temps are what most would consider “ideal”. This may sound weird, but does it taste dark?

These are living soil and I don’t top dress any high Nitrogen inputs in flower.
No I hated that old “purp” flavour if that’s what you mean, my dark plants never seem to get that and taste the same as green

Some more darker girls :black_heart:

Yes, purp flavor, exactly. I’ve tasted plants that were dark like that and it was purp on steroids, lol.

I’d hate that, always avoided growing purple cultivars because of it. Strange they don’t taste the same now. Maybe it was a hydro or HPS thing? Do your outdoor purple plants taste like it?

Yes. The few that I’ve done until October outside did the same. To me all purps have that to some extent. I did grow an Apple/Bananas clone from Compound that went purple and tasted amazing!

Link doesn’t work for me  , could be because I don’t have IG. I really liked SBG when I ran that and the Banana Jealousy

I have a dark star in wk4 flower. It’s in a new environment that I have dialed so I can control the fade properly. Hoping to see that dark leaf expression contrasting the neon green soon.

Ah yeah, greenhouse, very nice! Would love to be able to do that again.

Maybe seedsman will allow us a space to trade cuts like the old days.

It was just a nice spicy biscotti gas while growing but pleased to see the cheese has really come through too after drying on this one. The other 2 phenos were shorter and fuelly biscotti terps.
