Sweet Seeds + Symbiotic Genetics! 🧬

My air movement + extraction in the 3x3 is pretty strong and on always, im really not worried about that, but i appreciate the heads up - ive noticed the yeast will bubble to the cap sometimes but, its not as if its spraying everywhere + the canopy is way higher than the jug and i place it away from the plants (the fabric is a chopped Supa Slick Shore)

Maybe I stick with my hydro I understand it. Lol not sure how to test my soils or perlite or any of that other stuff. We redoing our grow room after this last batch is finished gonna add recirculation system and change our buckets to 7 gal. Cuz we don’t have enough room for them. Im learning to grow outdoors this year I got 2 plants will be my first grow outdoors. Lol Im nervous cu, it’s blueberry muffins I killed last one. Lol sometimes Steve wishes I’d stop helping so much.

New Mars Hydro Dehumidifier!

My last dehumid was inside the tent and the vent was a problem, pushing heat out onto the plants

This dehumidifier sits outside saving me space + heat!.. You always think itll fit a bit better though, amirite?!

Il deal with the lil lack of space for myself

I’m new. Just built my Vivosun 5X10 (no carbon filter) and my plants and I are happy except for humidity which is at 80% (dry soil and plants & after watering) according to cheap hydrometer. Internal temp 72.4 deg. Opened vents to room and house which is at 59% (lots of openings), no change.
Asking about dehumidifier for tent but learning they developed a lot of heat, pump units are not good. Terrible humidity for any stage but especially flower.

This dehumid ive got sits outside the tent and has 2 ducts leading inside so there is no temp problem!

I make sure when im flowering my humidity is under 50%

Vivosun, SpiderFarmer and ACInfinity all do tent dehumidifiers too, should check um out!

Glad you’re showing people the auto pot set up. The air domes are what really make it work. We used the copper bottom liners too. Love your pictures. I wish I could smell the bouquet of flowers you grew!:+1:

Yes, thank you very much. I did that and they all say for 5X5 not enough, supposedly, for my 5X10. Might still have to and if necessary will definitely do. But some awesome ppl here say purchasing 8” exhaust system (that I didn’t have, but just purchased) will cure the problems.
Just learning about lung rooms. The room the tent is in is at least 6 X 12 larger than 5X10 tent, is heated in winter and cooled by HVAC & vented into room. With the door to room open there’s good air flow. The exhaust will be vented into room/house then, obviously back through HVAC filter. Cooled air in summer comes from vent in floor nicely situated near vent openings in tent. The obvious attitude is to use the 5X10 as a complete grow through the seasons. In spring/fall temps the window in room can bring in cool (65 - 75 deg) fresh air. The cool, dry basement is always averaging 55 deg., humidity avg. 40% and used for dark, cool, low humidity hanging/drying/trimming flower. Then dried bud in mason jars for burping in said basement. That’s way more info I intended sharing but need your insight if at all doable. I like using K.I.S.S. method.

Yeah it gets really deep with environment, the bigger your space the harder it will be too dial in the VPD

Definitely the bigger the exhaust, the better!

In my 3x3 and 2x2, i dont run any intake because the extraction is enough to cause positive pressure in the tent - this equals a tent that has no spots with stale air if done correctly

In a 4x4 or bigger i would definitely advise 8inch or higher extraction, an 8inch intake also, and 2-4 clip on fans for air movement, and to dehumidify you would need a large unit

This is why i work in multiple tents, having a 3x3 and 2x2 (feet) its quite easy to dial in the VPD - this is a measurement done to determine whether your plants are able to uptake nutrients and transpire correctly

Check out online “Cannabis VPD” charts", i know Pulse and Advanced Nutrients have some great charts, you can use these to help dial in your environment as perfectly as needed!

Heres a good video on VPD by Scotty real of “Dudes Grow Show” on youtube - VPD with Scotty Real

All that you write makes perfect common sense and the information you provide helps immensely. Looking into that information now. Thank you!

Like to share with you and others very careful and conscious LST (my first) on Zkittlez auto staying in tent. Reading on it was totally interesting. Did this morning on 6 plants. Wasn’t fully convinced on this but going to have so many in hopes too of bigger yield had to satisfy curiosity (hope not killing this cat).
Continue or return to normal? If good, I just might be a good grower in ten years!

Some training stuff:

Autos - you need to be really careful training them in anyway, i highly advise not at all defoliating or training them, although, training and topping can be done on autos, but its time sensitive - if you defoliate or top after sex is showing you can heavily stunt the plant

Topping - topping should be done when the plant has grown a healthy root mass, most times when the plant has 5 sets of leaves and is showing “TRUE leaves” (leaves have atleast 5 fingers) the plant is ready to be able to take the stress

LST/HST - this can be done in various ways, with a scrog, “super cropping” and using bud trainer clips - i personally like too super crop mostly because it allows me to form the canopy to my exact liking ( it might take a while until you feel comfortable super cropping as the plants differ in how maluable they are, and age also depends on this)
(LST - LOW STRESS TRAINING, HST - HIGH STRESS TRAINING)

Here is an example of a Dutch Passion - Melonade Runtz that wasnt topped or trained in anyway

And here is a Supa Slick Shore that been topped multiple times, scrogged down in veg, and super cropped

Training is also, cultivar dependent, as you can see the Melonade Runtz wanted to grow its main stem, hence why i didnt train it as this was stated in its description, even if i did top it, it might not grow out its side nodes like this Supa Slick Shore did

Heres a video recently produced by “From The Stash” (cool dudes!) about advanced training techniques - Advanced Veg Tricks - FTS ep.281

I highly advise checking out - From The Stash and MrGrowIt on youtube

“MrGrowIt Garden Talk” is a great pod to learn, he has a episode on basically everything, with multiple amazing guests!

Terrible quality as its a cut from a video, but heres some plants i scrogged with a pea net + supercropped in veg! Normally i veg my photoperiod plants for 6-8 weeks if heavily training

Heres a link to my profile, feel free to check some of my grows out!

I also dont stray away from posting failures, theres a good example of how heavily defoliating a auto can cause catastrophy (Auto Orange Bud 2.0 diary)

Avoided training quite a while wanting just natural but GROW WEED EASY directed opening and shaping effecting grow and had just a few needing spreading to open up lower growth to light expanding plant. Seemed sensible and only had a few that could be great candidates and only barely bent over and secured. Lower new branches now getting light and exploding up. Definitely stopping there. But your information and direction toward learning videos are going to be a solid help! Thank you!

There’s setting on my exhaust controller tgat deals with that. Probably take the rest of the year to figure out. There is reading material and I’ll YouTube it as well. So much to learn with so little time. End up waking up getting through it all.
