Lemon Cherry Cookies- first automatic grow

Hey everyone and welcome to my first grow diary here on the Seedsman forum. After having had two successful runs with photoperiodics, I’m now
trying my luck with an automatic for the first time.

I have chosen the Lemon Cherry Cookies by FastBuds as it’s got a short flowering time and stays quite compact, which is great for my new little low budget setup.

The setup:
Tent: GrowPro 40x40x120cm (got it off eBay for 15€)
Light: Hon&Guan 100W with Samsung LEDs (45€ from Amazon)

I will use my AC Infinity Cloudray S6 until I start my photoperiodic grow in the big tent.

Sweet setup, I would recommend putting Auto seeds in their forever (well until she gets the chop) as transplanting Autos can shock them into flower or if the starting pot is too small will also go straight to flower leaving you with a tiny plant. Best of luck.

Yup, that’s what I got the tent for initially.
Just popped a seed and will grow it in there, because I’m too impatient waiting for a Growcup (German discord group) to finally start

Thanks man!
Yeah, that’s the plan. I just let the seed soak in water for about 12 hours and put it in an EazyPlug. Once the seedling shows, I will transfer it into a 15 litres fabric pot.

It’s an awesome little tent. For a moment I considered getting the big version, but I just recently got myself the AC Infinity Cloudlab 642

I got the bigger Vivosun, more work though.

Does Vivosun have a tent with roll up door, too?

I’d like a big tent that could hold about 6 plants, however German law allows an individual to only grow a maximum of three plants.

I do not know if all these are also sold in Germany. Vivosun Grow Tent Collection: The Best Indoor Grow Tent for Hydroponics

I just installed the lights today and took a little peak. Looks like something’s happening. My guess is that the head will pop out tomorrow.

I gotta say, I’m really liking this little setup.

The ones they sell in Europe only have the doors that open sideways.

Nice man! I’m excited to see what the flowers look like. Maybe I’ll get a purple one :crossed_fingers:

I harvested a Violeta by ACEseeds about a month ago and it has such a unique smell. The high is also different

Well, ladies and gentlemen…
giphy

The lemon cherry cookie popped its head out yesterday. Not only did it show its head, the taproot went on excursion, too… I didn’t expect that to happen at all.

Therefore, I grabbed my bag of soil, a pot and got to work.
In the beginning I had planned to use a 15L pot, but figured that it would be too big for a tent of this size and chose a 10L instead. The seedling got transferred into some BioBizz Light Mix, to which I added 20g of Microlife by Bionova and about 1 1/2L of plain water.
I’m running a 18/6 light schedule and the light is turned to its lowest setting, giving that little lady around 100 PPFD.

While browsing for some fans yesterday, I came across these Vivosun and immediately ordered me a pair. At 28€ for two it’s quite a bargain… also the color matches my tent perfectly :ok_hand:

Getting a bit “leggy”. You may want to move your light a bit closer, unless you are using sunlight.

Won’t it be too close? Distance between seedling and light is about 30cm

Are you sure? That converts to less than 12 inches. From Google: “For a 100W LED grow light, the ideal distance from cannabis seedlings is generally 18–24 inches (45–60 cm) above the top of the canopy. However, if your light is dimmable, it is highly recommended to set the intensity to 50–75% and keep the light closer, around 16-18 inches, to prevent stretching”.
