@james_seedsman , It’s kind of an open ended question. Just getting everyone’s opinion or thoughts on how much they think the Peyote Zkittlez with (at end of veg) 7 months of veg would produce in a 55 gallon drum and grown outdoors, will yield.
@Marc , @SweetBuds , @Steven , @Smokeout81 , @og_growgirl_sfv , and anyone I missed, thank you all for the wishes for my father. He’s doing a lot better and had his lung drainage tube removed today. He’s still in some pain but has a happier outlook now that he’s cancer free.
Oo, I’ve always wanted to try aeroponics! I’m interested to see what kind of setup you come up with.
@Treebeard , I can give you a supply list to make your own 5 -10 gallon bucket aeroponic setup that cost less than $50 per bucket setup. It uses 98% less water and about 50-60% less nutrients and a quarter or less of the electricity needed for a hydroponic dwc setup.
Hell yeah dude, send it!
1.) a Mr Reptile humidifier {can be found on Amazon for under $30}
2.) multifunctional outdoor digital timer outlet {can be found on Amazon for under $25}
3.) a food safe 5-10 gallon bucket with lid {if you have a restaurant nearby, ask them for one, they usually give them away for free}
4.) which ever nutrients you’d care to run (they will be used at a quarter of the strength recommended for a hydroponic system. Can be increased later on.
I’ve got a photo of the multifunctional outdoor timer and Mr Reptile system higher up in the forum if you need to check them out before purchasing. Also, sending a crude drawing of a setup in next post for reference.
@Steven and @SweetBuds , here is a crude mockup of the aeroponic setup. Will send an actual photo later tonight or tomorrow. Figured this would give you a reference point.
Thanks, I can’t wait to try it out.
Yeah man, I’m pretty stoked about it too ![]()

Hey treebeard lol you stealing my info? Haha it’s fascinating isn’t it? I’m excited as soon as we get done traveling I’m gonna set it up ![]()
Here is my setup before I cover the top with reflectix. I would also suggest going through the lid with the filter hose as well, that way you can move the whole assembly to another bucket while cleaning or just replacing it with said bucket.
Heads up on running thick organic nutrient material through the sprayers. So if using foxfarms trio, don’t use the big bloom, to thick and will clog nozzles.
I already ordered the pump ![]()
If you’re running a photoperiod in it, I would suggest no more than a month of veg before flipping, and top 2-3 times in that time period because (as long as you’ve got your nutrients dialed in) it starts to get big quick, same in flower.
Autos do quite well in it too.
This winter, I’m going to do a clone run, strictly aeroponics and 3 clones per 5 gallon bucket. Looking to do 12-16 buckets. Do the old, give them 3 days to acclimate and flip them to flower.
Set up like that u should run Athena or drip hydro
I‘ve seen good results with Athena![]()
Haha Treebeard we can do together. If Steve and I can get the room together. @IRDuH gonna help if we need it.![]()

@SweetBuds yes ma’am. Whenever you guys need help setting it up, I’ll be more than happy to assist on setup and factors to stay aware of.
I’ll be posting a new grow diary soon on a cross I did. It’s Future #1 auto (M from STS) crossed with Alaskan Bananaberry auto (F). I call it Nanook, after a Frank Zappa song. It should be tasty ![]()
Haha, don’t go where the huskies go and don’t you eat that yellow snow!
It was a hundred degrees below zero…
And my mama cried
And my mama cried
Nanook, a-no-no
Nanook, a-no-no
Don’t be a naughty eskimo…
