Here we grow again!
I was planning on 4 Barney’s Farm WWXXL gals and getting their SCROG on the go. I found that 5 beanstalks in my 5 x 2.5 tent has proven to be a little too much biomass for my space. Emphasis on “was” here because I got a set of twins again. Yippee! I separated them a few days after discovering them, and they seem to be enjoying their time apart. I will name those two after my good twin sister pals.
Please excuse the out-of-order snaps, it’s proving a challenge.
Nice germination sometimes I go to long harder to plant without breaking of the tails when I do that.
We’ve struggled with Barney’s a few times …I don’t think we were using the tuna cans before though,
maybe should give another try. There for a while we struggled germinating but that was long time ago.
Thanks so much! I’m a big fan & have grown WWXXL in the past (of my whopping three grows so far.) Great smoke & high yield.
Oh that’s too bad about other Barney’s Farm seeds. I keep the container near a heat pipe in my apartment & that has been great for germination. Since the heat in my apt is off until October, I put the container on the refrigerator which I learned from this community.
We were learning at the time I pretty much gauranteeyou it was our fault not the seeds once we found good way to germinate we have had zero issues with seeds so far
Rite on that’s great!! I can’t wait to see the beautiful flowers !!
Did u say ur in a 5×2.5 ? What kind of lite r u useing?
Ah yes, I remember that pesky learning curve well! Great to hear that you jumped ahead of it.
Thank you! I have high hopes for these gals - pun intended
Thank you! Yes, a 5’ x 2.5’ (and 7ish’ high.) I have 3 Toolots lights (120w) & 1 Spider Farmer SF1000. I use the Photone app to measure PPFD (with a piece of paper over the phone, as the cheap option.)
No kidding - it sure can! I was so relieved to learn that I can reuse soil with a fertilizer treatment in between grows. I have 5 fabric pots @ 10 gallons each.
The first time I had twins
I let the seeds germ for about 72 hours. The twins’ roots were completely separated, about 4”, and had completely broken free of the seed, and both had cotyledons. Seed was Royal Queen’s Biscotti, bought from Seedsman for my first & second grows.
Tuna cans? Please elaborate at your leisure. After Plumbus (my profile pic) liberates tuna water from the can, I would love to try using them for a higher purpose - pun completely intended
