I use fox farms nutes whatever the veg is called can’t remember but had been keeping using it around 400ppm every other day ph 6.4 to 6.8 around there.

That ph is really high for coco coir! Witch is best @ 5.8/6.1-2ish

Well I have a mars Hydro tsl2000 I think what is called. Round a 200$ light I’ve got a viparspecte of some sort. Then I have a 600 watt HPS/metal halide set up. Usually the 600w wins hands down in all areas. Seems like it costs so much to get a good high quality LED I can’t afford it

Don’t beat yourself up over your light! I run a 3x3 tent with 2 100w viparspectra lights and I get a decent yields. It’s not the best and I do want to upgrade to more efficient LEDs but use what you got and what you can afford. I like the 2 light setup when I grow 2 plants at a time I can adjust them for each plant’s height but I want more watts so I’ll eventually get something stronger. LEDs are good for full spectrum but can lack penetration of the canopy. Hps has good penetration but produces a ton of heat and is inefficient at energy to light conversion, hence the heat, but it’s good for flowering. No one can tell you what is best for you. You just have to look into the lights, figure out what you think works for you, and go with it. If you keep your pdf at where it needs to be during each stage you’ll get good results. If you get everything perfect you’ll get much better results but even pro growers screw up.

mh is better for veg most of the time. use it if you have it. the difference is small dont buy if you dont have. just a thought, mh usually has more uv, good for finishing last week . mh burns out way quicker than hps. no old bulbs.

I don’t grow autos, but the blue spectrum of MH is used to keep plant internode spacing shorter during veg.

Using HPS during veg could be useful for autos if you want to encourage more stretch out of them.

Same! I skip summer cos it’s just too busy and harder to keep temps where I want them. I’m eager to try another couple of autos starting in Sept/Oct though. I’ll live vicariously thru others in the meantime.

I like both autos and photos. What I really like is landrace and old time strains so my last grow was Acapulco Gold Auto, good stuff!

I love the old school strains as well! Don’t get me wrong the newer stuff is super strong and can rock me pretty good, but there’s something about smoking the stuff I was getting in the early 90s that just hits the soul a bit different. I loved smoking all day, being high enough to feel awesome but able to function and run from the cops when I needed to. The new stuff would just have me standing there on the street, wondering why I was in the kitchen looking for my lawnmower while some asshole was pulling my hands behind my back putting cuffs on me. I’m looking forward to growing some bubblegum autos, hopefully it’s reminiscent of the Indiana bubblegum I used to get.

Man I seen that bowl picture somewhere else. You on other forum sites as well? Maybe it was on here in another thread. Looks tasty.
