You have to look at your trichomes. When they are mostly cloudy is when I would usually switch over, but I like very little amber trichomes when I harvest. I prefer a good balance of effects and my personal choice is to have about 5-10% amber while the majority of people will say to go for 15% amber. I’m my grows it’s takes an average of 2 weeks for trichomes to go from 75% cloudy 25% clear to mostly cloudy and 10% amber. Again, these are my conditions using the genetics I am using, your results may vary.

In case you don’t know about trichome color and effects…

  • Clear = not mature still producing resin, not very potent
  • Cloudy = peak THC levels the high is more of a cerebral, energetic high.
  • Amber = starting to convert to CBN which will get you more of a relaxing, couch lock high
  • Brown = super sedative and much less potent, something you probably don’t want

Honestly I stopped flushing because I didn’t notice a difference as long as my nutrient levels were good through the later part of the grow and not super high.

Living soil changed all that for me. Now it’s just water until I harvest, but I have to get my mix on point and some plants may need a little more so I might have to amend if I notice anything crazy starting.

Jewelers loop or a digital microscope so you can look at trichome heads up want as close to all cloudy amber/ish spread…if still alot of clear have no fear and keep her going :flexed_biceps::100:

@Cain figured you may like this thread also!

Let it get dry? Huh?

I’ve had some nice autos, but I’ve also had some Semi-autos.

The best that I have had , have been Alien versus Triangle by Mephisto and PPD by Humboldt.

Aloha everyone! 2nd grow so far, a random fastbuds auto from a mix pack, and first run in the Autopot XL with coco and Canna Coco nutrients. Starting week 5! Slow start (First run with coco as well), but once the autopot came on it’s been great!

You can get away with transplanting if you do it before they get root bound.

I’m super interested to see what you got because I got 2 of the mixed packs, during a bogo sale, thinking they would come labeled(I was wrong on that assumption) but I love a good mystery. Keep us updated!

Yea, I just need to quit cheese g up and get things handled. For some reason I feel like this is detrimental to our existence, lol.

hey which nutrient line are you using?

Now here’s my deal. Doesn’t it get expensive to be purchasing autoflowers?

Depends on breeder/genetics but not really no more than fems or regs

Who u asking

You can buy them and reverse it to produce pollen sacks and flowers and make more seeds. You just can’t smoke the one you reverse. No more expensive than any other method.

How do you guys train your autoflowers if at all? Just curious as the consensus is usually split between not bothering them and/or leaf tucking where others love some LST. I’m only on my second grow so I’d love some advice from some seasoned pros.

Opinions? Thoughts? What’s worked for you in the past? Thanks!
