First and foremost, we want to say thank you to every single member who has helped build this community into what it is today.
From growers sharing journals and advice, to members helping newcomers, posting useful information, joining discussions, and simply contributing positively day by day — this community exists because of all of you. The support, passion, knowledge, and energy people have brought here has helped create something genuinely special, and we appreciate it more than words can say.
As the community continues to grow, our goal remains the same: to keep the Seedsman Community a welcoming, respectful, and constructive place where people can learn, share experiences, and connect with others who enjoy the hobby.
Over the past few days, we have had to make the difficult decision to remove a small number of posts and interactions from the community. This was not something we took lightly. However, after reviewing repeated breaches of our community guidelines, behaviour that negatively impacted other members, and interactions that no longer reflected the kind of environment we are all trying to build together, moderation action became necessary in the best interests of the wider community.
We also want to acknowledge that some members may have seen arguments or inappropriate language in recent discussions before moderation steps were taken. We understand that this can affect the atmosphere of the space, and we appreciate everyone who handled the situation respectfully and allowed us the time to properly review everything.
At the heart of this community is mutual respect, helpfulness, and good-faith participation. While activity and engagement are important, what truly makes a community valuable is the way members support one another and contribute positively to the experience for everyone else.
If you ever come across a post or interaction that you feel is offensive, inappropriate, or goes against the spirit of the community, please use the flagging system and allow the moderation team to handle it internally. This helps us keep the community welcoming and constructive for everyone, while allowing members to continue enjoying the space for what it is meant to be — a place to learn, share, connect, and grow together.
With that in mind, we have also updated our leaderboard system. Moving forward, the focus will be less on overall activity and more on recognising members who consistently provide helpful answers, share valuable knowledge, and positively contribute to the community experience.
We are incredibly proud of what this community has become in such a short space of time, and that is because of all of you. Thank you again to everyone who continues to contribute thoughtfully, help others, and make this a place people genuinely enjoy being part of.
