New here? Say Hello in this Thread

What is it your growing, what’s your medium?

Enzyme activity is highly dependent on temperature, if temps are too low they can stall and run out of energy. They are very susceptible to environmental pressures when that young and low temps can be enough to make them fail to germinate.

Hello everyone! Fritz here. Super excited to have a one stop shop community for newbies like me and all growers alike. I am looking to learn and grow literally and figuratively with all of you. Thanks and happy growing!

Hello All,

I’m B I’m an amateur home grower from the states. Definitely have room to grow, and learn new skills from everyone. Some of my favorite strains to grow are strawberry cheesecake, Blue dream, and northern lights.

I have Blue Dream and Northern Lights going for outdoor this year also.

Hi,

I’m B, I started growing once recreational became legal in my state. I’ve always been a gardener, and figured it would be a fun experiment and project to attempt. I didn’t realize how much I would enjoy the learning process, and watching my girls grow. I mainly grow for myself, and to share with my friends and family. Especially with people that use this wonderful plant for medicine. I would call myself an intermediate/amateur grower. I hope to pick up new skills and advice to help me become a better grower. I’m honestly afraid of topping. So any assistance and advice in the right direction is always welcomed. Currently I’m harvesting a northern light by seedman, and enjoying some banana punch.

Greetings all,

I’ve been growing Seedsman since 2020 and I was extremely active in the discord community back before it got nuked. Sad days. Glad to see somewhat of a revival and happy to be a part of its start just like I was with discord.

What interests me about cannabis:

It was my main focus in study in school until a fall back in 2015 wrecked my back. I was hoping to have a headstart in researching medical properties until mother nature and a major ice storm had other plans.

My current experience:

I’m far from a newbie, but I’m nowhere close to being a master. I’m just fortunate enough to be a plant whisperer.

What I’m hoping to get out of this community:

I get complacent when I’m growing just for myself and stop expanding knowledge. But when I’m helping others, it pushes me to dig deeper into things I may not have experienced or something I may have experienced long ago and dismissed.

true I usually put them in the dark by my stove.

Am so stoked to be invited to be a part of this community!!! Can’t wait to see some friends made from the grow off (blood moon gelato) here too!
I’ve been growing as long as I’ve been smoking, coming up on 37 years.
I’ve had many successful harvests outdoors, and more than few indoors that I was thrilled with.
If asked, I’d say I’ve got a green thumb, but am in no way shape or form a pro. There are folks out there that really know how to dial in an indoor grow and feed a plant MUCH better than I. I look forward to learning from them, I’m certain they’ll be here, shining bright. You know who you are, growmies!
So, about me.
I’m 51, live in Pacific Grove, California, United States of America.
I am an auto gear head, semi retired Jack of all trades. I spent my working career as an on site safety personnel designing and building rescue systems for confined space workers for a massive corporation you’ve all heard of the sounds suspiciously like Helliburton. Did quite a bit of traveling overseas for them building fun stuff to swing from basically.
I’m open to any and all questions, criticism, comments, etc. please take everything I say with a grain of salt, I can be difficult. Momma said!
This is rad! I’m stoked! I can’t wait to see what’s next.

Right now im.trying my hand at Zkittles. I’m attempting a hydro grow and keeping things as organic as possible. Distilled water, fruits and veggies for nutrients, and a little tent right on my balcony. I’l take some pictures tonight and post the babies. They are about a week old.

Been growing for about 10 years, for myself. By no means am I an expert, but I know a lot. I do deep water culture. I enjoy watching the plants grow from tiny seeds to large bushes. I like to do the occasional experiment, but nothing crazy. I’ve helped a few people join the journey, and i cant wait to see what this brings. Happy growing everyone!

What’s up everyone, I’m Jeff.

I’ve been growing for a while and most of what I run comes from Seedsman. My setup is mostly DWC, so I’m big on reservoir health, pH stability, training, and keeping the environment dialed in. I enjoy the technical side of growing just as much as the plant side, so I keep logs and pay attention to the little stuff.

I joined to meet other growers, swap ideas, and learn more about the strains people are having success with.

Good to be here.
