What information do we collect?

When you use the Seedsman Community, our systems automatically record limited technical data to keep the platform secure and running smoothly. This may include:

  • IP address

  • Device and browser information (e.g. user agent)

  • Dates/times of access

  • Pages/actions performed (e.g. login attempts, errors)

  • Security and performance logs (e.g. rate limiting, suspicious activity)

Why we collect it
We use this data to:

  • protect the community from fraud, spam and abuse

  • investigate security incidents and troubleshoot issues

  • maintain platform performance and reliability

  • meet legal and regulatory obligations where required

How long we keep it
We keep server logs and IP address data for up to 90 days as standard, then they are automatically deleted or anonymised unless we need to retain them longer for one of the reasons below.

When we may retain it longer
We may keep relevant log records for longer where necessary to:

  • investigate or evidence security incidents, abuse, harassment, or suspected fraud

  • comply with legal obligations or respond to lawful requests

  • establish, exercise, or defend legal claims

In those cases, access is restricted and retention is limited to what’s necessary.

Who can access it
Access to logs is limited to authorised staff and trusted service providers who support platform security and hosting, under appropriate contractual controls.

Your choices
You can request access to or deletion of personal data we hold about you. Please note that we may not be able to delete certain technical logs immediately if they are required for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
