Hello, so I haven’t posted much, I start reading and cant seem to stop. So much info, I began growing about 5 yrs ago, just as a hobby. I’d give my finished crop to my dad. He’s smoked ever since I can remember, he use to have me poke the little hole in the dirt when I was like 4 and 5 yrs old. So it was something I wanted to try on my own. Well my dad passed away in May of 2023, and I stopped for a few years. I finally dug out my seeds and popped a few, but kept having difficulty keeping them going. I have 1 right now, its my 1st time using the riot rooter cubes. I usually germinate my seeds in a bag 1st, wrapped in paper towel; and they always pop and grow…not sure why Im having difficulty this time. Also I usually use the Mother Earth soil and never had bug issues, I tried the fox forest and coco core mixed half and half, and one of my plants that I popped in soil ended up with a bad spider might infestation. I tossed it, it was barely 2 weeks old. Any way, thats where Im at right now, I have some soil drying out so I can try another one in soil. The one I have now is The Special Queen Auto. My next one is going to be bubble gum XXL Auto. My names Nikki BTW.

Welcome @Nik-E nice meetin ya! Sorry to hear about your dad. Ive had good results from the photo version of special queen. Mine was outdoor but very easy to grow. Good luck with yours!! Just let us know if ya need any help…lots of good people here more than happy to give advice!

Older seeds are usually weaker and can fail to germinate if they haven’t been stored properly. Spider mites are the worst.. 
they don’t come back
Thank you for the insight, I was wondering if that was the issue. I also ordered some seeds from this site. Idk I had one that sprouted, but then stunted after a few days and was growing at the root and not growing upward. Then, one just didnt pop, now I know why the older ones didnt pop. I wasn’t sure if they was going to grow. Hopefully the one I do have continues to grow.
