Well, it’s about time I get this task done… I’ve been procrastinating for too long ![]()
So, here you can read a little bit about me and my cannabis growing journey.

Since I started smoking pot in my teenage years, I have dreamed of growing the holy plant. But because I was living with my parents and due to the prohibition in Germany, I wasn’t able to pursue my dream until last year.
But on 1st April 2024 the laws changed and growing cannabis became legal.
In February 2025 I moved into a new place, acquired a used growing set from a friend of mine and rapidly went down the rabbit hole.
I was immediately hooked to growing. Cannabis as a plant itself fascinates me and I love watching it grow as well as being able to shape it using different training methods.
Whenever I take care of my plants, I feel pretty relaxed. It’s as if I can just shut off the world around me and let all the weight drop off me.
Of course, during the seedling and veg phase there isn’t much to do, but once they get bigger, I enjoy just sitting in front and staring at them ![]()
What has it given to me?
Peace… a little slice of peace at home. With all the distractions, work and private life going on, growing Cannabis has given me a way of blending out the noise.
But not only that, growing Weed has taught me how to take better care of plants in general. Watering and feeding them properly, showing patience rather than overdoing it.
How do I choose my seeds?
Remember when I mentioned that I went down the rabbit hole… well yeah, I also went on a cannabis seed shopping spree last year. In the beginning I wanted to grow landraces and crossbreeds of those - my first grow was Hindu Kush and my second a Violeta (Pakistani Chitral Kush x Purple Malawi) - but I couldn’t resist the Christmas deals and ended up with a stash that’ll last me a good amount of years ![]()
Some of the strains in my collection:
- Humboldt Seed Company: Blueberry Muffin, Jelly Donutz, Hella Jelly
- G13 Labs: Pineapple Express #2
- Ripper Seeds: Zombie Kush, OMG, Radical Juice, Toxic & Tropicanna Cookies x K-Mintz
- ACEseeds: Violeta, Zamaldelica x Kali China, Guawi
How has cultivation enriched my life?
Not only have found a new hobby that I really enjoy, I also am able to connect with people all over the world through a common interest, share knowledge and support each other on their journey.
The journey is the destination
This is what I would tell every new grower. Just enjoy the ride, don’t rush things and listen to what the plant tells you.
