Its been a long road 50 yrs and still going

i tried growing for the first time when i was 10 yrs old. my cousin and i ‘found’ some plants. cannabis was all over our community in the 70s. a year later i became sick and was sent to childerns hospital and witnessed cancer kids getting treatment. i was lucky to be in the room with the kids that used cannabis, the non using i could hear puking for days. so i became a smoker to help with my appetite. attempted a few outdoor grows but using bagseed from around the world didnt mature in bc canada and didnt have connections yet. but i was hooked on growing. bought first mh and hps lights and set up at buddies house at 20yrs. i wasnt there when the police arrived. 2 good friends did a year of weekends in jail. soon after i got my own place , go to vancouver for seed shops or get clones. genetics were really mostly a miss.along the way i had 10 sugreries for crohns disease and cannabis was really important for my health. i grew almost constantly. moved to larger home with a shop around 2000 and set up right away. connection saw what i could do and got me to clone for him for years.then the gang stuff here in bc took hold and ruined respect and safety. i grew for friends and bought seeds from seedsman around2010. phenohunting became a new thing i loved, a challenge. dont remember the first feminised seeds being all that good but i do remember barneys farm tangerine dream and somthing called og18 not sure of breeder. i grew 18 yrs non stop at that place. 2017 canada legalised and my best grow buddy/friend died the day of legalising.soon the legal weed became good and way to cheap to bother growing extra. moved again 2022 small place got tent and a different life. no time for mothers and phenohunting so got some auto seed[seedsman of course].completly stunned by autos, the quality of seed genetics today is incredible, fastbuds strawberry banana and seedsman fatso f1. then i had a stroke 2025. i was lucky, some right arm problems and a few months not growing. got my new seed a few weeks ago, trying fastbuds tropicanna banana and ethos viola both looking strong.
growing has provided me with my favorite hobby, my medicine ,extra income and a reason to get better when health issues arose. seedsman has been there for close to the last 20 years also, thank you seedsman.

Cheers buddy, I just lost my father last week to a massive stroke. He was 84, and in otherwise good shape. You just never know when your number is up. Don’t worry about yesterday, plan for tomorrow, but live for today.
Let’s grow some yum yum
