Ditch the dome, if it’s aero cloner, you don’t need much light at all when cloning 150-200 par. The dome can suffocate them.
With one indoor grow I had a very bad gnat problem. I would go through fly strips almost daily. Three things that helped… soaking the top lay with hydrogen peroxide helps to kill the eggs. A 50/50 solution of rubbing alcohol and water in a spray bottle kills them instantly. Ultimately diatomaceous earth powdered on the ground finally did them in.
Sadly, that problem seriously hindered my grow and harvest size. Those little bugs are impressively resilient.
But like you stated, keeping the top inch dry is a huge help to all the things I listed.

I had Fungus Gnats so bad on one run that I had to resort to Spinosad.

A toad can eat 50 to 100 of little gnats a night,
BTI misquote dunks work great. They just take 3 weeks 
we did peroxide drench but it destroys everything in the soil not just the larvae. We were running wicking pots and that was the problem
Same here. I’m a huge nature and horticulture person. We go to conservatory domes and botanical gardens as often as we can. Even got memberships and all that lol

Will beneficial nematodes kill gnats and/or the eggs? I bet they’d love the larvae…
They eat the larvae but not enough if you have a major infestation. BTI is the safest

Alabama was nothing but clay and sand it was awful the cacti grew well but grass was spotty and yard sand pit.

The way the plants are built right now you need to turn the light down some to get some stretch in there. Give yourself some internodal spacing ! It will help in the end !

Thank you! I thought there was something like that. Part was due to some real problems and I had and to move it up fast. That could be some of what you’re seeing. Other than that the company has settings for each state for Red, White and Blue settings. I’ll look for lower number settings or contact the company. I truly appreciate your time and input!
