my biggest challenge has been good genetics. could always get clones here, but they would have pests or be bad in so many ways. seeds were hit or miss, kept phenotyped mothers for years. but in the last few years seed quality has greatly improved [thanks seedsman]. i no longer grow at the scale i used to, just for myself and find the autoflower stuff available is fantastic. no bugs no viruses no mildew no mother room. sure you can screw them up but thats on you, not outside problems. and the quality is up there with my phenohunted mothers from a few years ago.

Biggest challenge for me is not going to hard. Love the plant but I can get too involved and that can mess things up. I need to stay small and remember the plants will grow with just a little help.

Hey all!

Back from a little holiday to France.

Been great to come home and see all the activity here whilst I have been away!

Glad to see everyone getting stuck into the founder challenges!

If I haven’t replied to anyone’s DM’s, I will go through them ASAP.

You use aloe to clone? Please enlighten me man.I have bunches of it…

My ideal setup would be an organic, 3-5 mother plant, grow, where I’m able to add new strains per plant, through adding scions on each plant. This would be dependent on sativa, hybrid (dependent on sway), and indica, with a heavy emphasis on an aeroponic for finishing.

Sorry man I been away few days but are u cutting at 45° angles? Healthy nodes intake? Gotta have nodes on them to grow into flowers.

I’M REALLY GETTING FRUSTRATED NOT EVEN BEEN ABLE TO BEGIN TO START A GROWTH NOW I GERMINATED TO RECEIVE BETWEEN NAPKINS AND THEN DECEASED THROUGHOUT IT REALLY QUICKLY FOUR OR FIVE DAYS SO I QUICKLY MOVE THEM INTO THE SOURCE FOR THEM TO BEGIN GROWING UP, AND THEN AGAIN EVERYTHING TO STOP I’M WAITING TO SEE THE SEEDS START TO GROW OUT OF THE AN HERB GROWER STARTER KIT THAT I HAVE WITH THE LIGHT AND I’M WAITING AND WAITING AND THEY HADN’T POPPED UP YET AND IT’S BEEN ABOUT A WEEK

If from a plant just snap a piece off n shove stem into it.

Stay calm, smoke out and get a canna can. It will be life changing! Google it. Canna can.

:100: agree! Get Cannakan and take the guess work out of it. Super easy to use. I’ve had almost 100% germination rate since I got mine, even with older seeds.

Does anyone know where to get the filter papers? I have reused mine but probably not a good idea to keep reusing.

I’ve used a shot glass with water and had great success with germination. The cool thing is you can see the taproot when it sprouts. Then used a tweezers to pull them out and put them in the planting medium. I would say nearly 100%! Good luck!

I do that to but sometimes the kan works better for older seeds. Fresh seeds will literally get tails overnight. Peroxide works also but you have to be careful.

I agree. I’ve never used the kan, but I try to germinate the seeds I get within a day or two. The kan is probably better, but I’m on a budget
