What’s difference from a heat mat and cup of water or paper towels and zip lock ? I’ve never seen this thing

It works really good. I saw it a while back and it lit me know I was doing the right thing with my low budget set up. The heat vent at the house, black Tupperware, paper towel and water, a lil peroxide. They both work…..

I just do the damp paper towel/napkin in an open baggie on top of the fridge—- used it for years with no issues.

I’m not a beginner i have been growing over 30 years but do to cancer i moved to tx last year my Auto came good but my other plates after 4ft I noticed bli and rotten branches I cut of an sealed this year i am trying seedman nutrients dut I don’t understand how to between calmag and grow

I admire scientific/controlled environments but not my thing. Me: my own aged compost piles and then mixtures and nutrients. My first cannabis grow. It’s been cool/cold so growing slow but sure (they look amazing; color, leaf pattern).

They’re so expensive in Europe… cost about 65€… I rather soak the seeds in water for 12-24 hours and then put them into EazyPlugs

I’ve heard that aloe is good for rooting. Never used it for germination. I have taken cuttings off house plants and cut a chunk of aloe plant in a jar of water and they rooted. When germinating seeds I always use bottled water, nothing else.

Please read my thread and let me know what you think I may be doing incorrect or if you have a better solution aside from switching from hps to led for autos. This is my first season trying to grow ruderalis. For my super soil I used part peat moss
1 part compost
1 part perlite
1 part worm castings
1/2 part bone meal
1/2 part blood meal
1/2 part fish meal
1/2 part kelp meal
1/2 part rock phosphate
And dolomite.
Should I not use this for auto and use different nutrients in 3 stages? Please give me advise

Keep your HPS LEDs or great but you get denser nugs with HPS.
Don’t start autos in that dirt. They will burn and you’ll sunt them, then you will have a tiny little plant in flower. They are super sensitive!
Do a two part grow/ flower. More in later veg. They don’t need a lot in the beginning.
Use a coco coir plug or peat in your pot if you want to use your ammended soil. That way your seedlings have time to establish roots before they start to get nutes. Good luck and have fun! Using live soil in my opinion is better for photos. Because, autos are done fast. Live soil is designed to break down slowly.

i use aloe too for cloning, and will try it for soaking my seeds next time i sprout some cuz i haven’t done that yet - thanks @Vinnycannaseed !!
my local grocery has organic fresh aloe leaves so i got one and peeled the skin, then cut the clear insides into pieces and used the goo to dip the clones in - i froze the aloe chunks and juice i didn’t use for later… have done it twice now to experiment and have way more clones than i can handle lol

It’s a good mix but way too much fertilizers.
The bulk should be 1/3 peat/coco, 1/3 aeration(perlite/pumice), 1/3 worm castings/compost.
Then to that add your amendments. Per 10 gal:
1/2 cup of each Blood, Bone, fish, meal, and Rock phosphate.
1 cup of each kelp meal and dolomite lime
I’d also add 1 cup of Gypsum or CaO (lime/oyster shells)
Might not need to top dress for autos if they stay small but if you do 2 tablespoons each of bone, fish, kelp meals and dolomite mixed into each pot with a handful of worm castings at week 4-5 probably be enough.
