For me it’s personal! It makes me think of the origin of the plant. Who thought of smoking it? When did we first start enjoying the physcoactive effects it gives us?
I think humans have been drawn to medicinal plants since the dawn of time. Drugs and medicine are interchangeable in a vocabulary sense. But drug addiction comes from constant access to it. Plants and medicines grow in seasons and I believe most “drugs” or addictive plants were only accessed for certain times of the year.
You do realize that 420 isn’t about the origin of the plant
